Looms running on silk

Our looms are run with purpose. Silk threads are handled directly during active production runs, so each batch is watched from the first pass of the warp to the last pick of the weft.

Attention to the physical handling of fiber keeps the cloth consistent across the length of a run.

How we work

Consistency is built into the weave

Fiber consistency comes first. Raw silk and silk-mixture yarns are prepared and checked before they reach the loom, so the material behaves predictably through the run.

Warp tension and weave structure are set and monitored together. Production batches are managed directly from fiber preparation to final yardage, so every length of fabric can be traced to the run that produced it.
